Didn't read the study, but from the article:
"In the study, a group of nearly 20 participants attended two lab sessions where they smoked both a traditional cigarette and a pod-based e-cigarette. To measure the effects of the vaping and smoking, the research team measured the rate at which participants' blood vessels dilated back to their normal size. Results showed delays in that process for both electronic and traditional cigarette use."
Maybe an indicator for where future research should go, but not a basis for an overall safety judgment.
- DontchaKnowit 3y agoYeah quite likely that Ny nicotine delivery method is going to have a similar affect in that regard. Weird way to go about comparing safety profiles
- fragmede 3y agoRight? All that shows is that, by vaping, instead of smoking a cigarette, you get nicotine into your bloodstream. Which anybody vaping could tell you happens, otherwise they wouldn't be so addicted to it. Does vaping cause lung cancer? What do your lungs look like after 1, 5, 10 years of vaping? I am not a medical study, but that study isn't showing either of those things. It sounds like the "researcher" has an agenda to prove, which isn't how the scientific method works.
