Their Android client has been maintained for over a decade, from what I can see. It’s not something even remotely recent as you’re implying. I’ve used the Android client and it works great. Passkeys aren’t supported in 1Password on Android because Google has not released APIs to allow that. Not because Android support is an afterthought.
