I think Elixir and Clojure are in a similar bind. The ecosystems just never took off, and they couldn’t ride the 2015-2020 functional language hype wave into critical mass. I think both of those technologies deserve a lot more broad investment than they’ve received.
- balencpp 3y agoI think Elixir is doing quite well now. It's by no means mainstream, but it's also not in the same category as Clojure; it's on a slow,steady positive trajectory.
