The scientific method is about performing experiments, not about making YouTube videos.
If a scientist who is an expert in one field decides to make videos on other fields, they are not applying the scientific method, they are doing the same thing any YouTuber does.
- snapplebobapple 3y agoThe scientific method is just an empirical method for acquiring knowledge and they certainly can apply the scientific method outside their field (indeed they really should when doing a literature review to inform their opinion on the subject). The credentialism in this thread thread is utterly out of control.
