Oh don't get me wrong, I thought it was just a bit funny and/or ironic because the media will write about even the most mudane things if they are easy to write about. Something happens outside of a major city where nobody was seriously injured, no public figures explicitly involved, or there were no major crimes commited - it's very unlikely it'll end up in the news. I'm 100% sure if this happened near some major city, it would be top 5 news item of that day. But alas, it happened in the middle of nowhere, so it kind of not happened if you get my meaning.
