when I started designing mobile applications in 2009, I was fully convinced they are inept for (keyed) text entry. No one would type more than a few characters on such devices. Since I found me proven both wrong and right in some sense. Looks we rather sacrificed quality for immediate reaction and enthusiastically do bad text editing and sloppy writing on the go.
