Use a keyboard app with arrows. My choice is "Hacker's keyboard" [0] but I think there are others. (Search reddit for best keyboards with arrows.) I can't say more about it, text editing is not a problem on mobile. It's ok. I installed, then I forgot.

- OrangeMusic 3y agoSwiftKey has been my favorite keyboard for years (it was the first one to have word prediction). It has this option.
- justsomehnguy 3y ago> Hacker's keyboard My updoots for it. I think it's already a decade I use it exclusively on any Android platform. Sadly soon enough it would break completely, because Android is constantly mangl^W changing.
- ctenb 3y agoCan't run it on newer Android versions
- dredmorbius 3y agoWhich, specifically? I'm still using Hacker's Keyboard on Android 10. Though I'm also largely relying on F-Droid for apps. Is Hacker's Keyboard not installable via Google Play, or not runnable?
- ctenb 3y agoNot installable on 12
- dredmorbius 3y agoThanks, that's ... disappointing. Alternatives?
- Narushia 3y agoAnySoftKeyboard works on Android 12 and 13 and has arrow keys available in one of the default layouts. I’m actually using my own customized layout since it was pretty easy to make one a few years ago. If you want a layout that is customized to your needs and has all the exact characters you need, I would recommend looking into it. I think it was just editing an XML file and building the layout in Android Studio (the layouts are installable as separate add-ons for the main app).
- rjh29 3y agoSamsung keyboard has a hard to find "Text editing" tab with arrows.
- sundvor 3y agoI use Google Keyboard on my S21 Ultra; it's just behind the hamburger menu there - and it works really well.
