I once wrote a tiny geometric algebra package for Julia for personal exploration. It was extremely ergonomic and played well to Julia's strengths.
Before doing that I was always very firmly in the visual/geometric side of the spectrum (vs the abstract/algebraic side) of understanding math and physics but the geometric algebra taught me the value of algebraic modes of thinking.
- notthemessiah 3y agoTalking about Julia, I've been toying around with https://github.com/AlgebraicJulia/Decapodes.jl https://github.com/AlgebraicJulia/Decapodes.jl, which uses geometric algebra/discrete exterior calculus to do physics simulations: think finite element methods, but with better theory behind it.
