You can write, build and install your own software on the phone. Apple provides all the tools needed to do so. You can install third party software if you build it from source.
You can’t install third party software distributed as binaries except through the App Store.
- az09mugen 3y agoDon't you need a mac to build an app for iOS ?
- m463 3y agoApple has carved out a useless way of running your own software. There is a license agreement you have to accept to get and use the software. You generally have to use apple-specific languages. You can build and install the software, but I believe that it will not run forever and will expire after a week. all of this is a self-serving mess.
