No. The dock is convenient because memory allows you to recall where to find an icon. If they're randomly ordered it breaks that convention. Who cares what "order" full-screen windows are?

You can swipe left/right to go from one full-screen window to another. So it's good to know the order.

The dock doesn’t appear on screens that contain a full screen window. So it won’t tell me the order when I need to know it.

You can bring up the dock temporarily in full screen windows. After a while, you will start to remember the order. And any changes you make to the order will persist.

But you can already swipe up in full screen mode to see what order your desktops are in?

Looking at the dock would be faster if the orders were synced.

Only if the dock was already on screen.

Recognizing apps by icon is very fast even if you do have to bring up the dock.
