I am very skeptical this 19% should be taken at face value.

- smogcutter 3y agoEh, idk about the percentage, but the idea sounds plausible to me. Teenagers find dark corners to make out in like water finds a crack. It’s not hard to imagine an automated system flagging contact between students as potentially inappropriate.
- bitcurious 3y agoIt’s a fuzzy statistic. It can happen once but be viral enough for 19% of students to have heard of it.
- watwut 3y agoWhy? This is about students hearing about such case. Rumors go around fast and far. One kid like that may easily mean good half of the school heard about the situation.
