Pretty much the same experience. It is an awesome language, probably still my favourite. What i did not like is the inconsistent apis and missing basic protocol

Pretty much the same experience.
It is an awesome language, probably still my favourite.
What i did not like is the inconsistent apis and missing basic protocol implementations in the standard library.
Someone should write an heavily opinionated standard library like go has, with basic http,mail, dns etc support.
Then D would really be a superpower
- Alifatisk 3y agoYeah, sometimes when I've felt like Phobos is lacking (https://dlang.org/phobos https://dlang.org/phobos) I turned to the community made packages (https://code.dlang.org https://code.dlang.org) But things might have changed a lot since I used it last time.
- pjmlp 3y agoThe problem with such a small community, is that users from community made packages are expected to fix them when they no longer work with latest compilers.
