- danielfoster 3y agoDoes the EU ever fine EU companies for antitrust violations?
- sdflhasjd 3y agoYes. These cases just don't make it onto American online news as much. The EU website has a list of Antitrust/Cartel cases: https://competition-cases.ec.europa.eu/search?caseInstrument=AT&caseCartel=true&sortField=caseLastDecisionDate&sortOrder=DESC https://competition-cases.ec.europa.eu/search?caseInstrument... Plenty of fines being dished out there.
- pipo234 3y agoNot that many BIG tech in the EU. But there have been big fines for EU tech companies. Here's one from 2012: > EU imposes record $1.9 billion cartel fine on Philips, five others https://www.reuters.com/article/us-eu-cartel-crt-idUSBRE8B40EK20121205 https://www.reuters.com/article/us-eu-cartel-crt-idUSBRE8B40...
- rasz 3y agoIts more of a discount on a >$1B fine Intel never paid.
