People seriously underestimate how significant driving is to their environmental footprint. Rough calculation is 14,000kg/y of CO2 per capita in the US. Of which 4,000kg would be from driving (at average yearly distance of 20,000km in average new ICE vehicle). Recycling, and other initiatives are nice but don't come close. WFH is a huge help.
