I've done the rounds as a statistician, and it would be pretty unusual to meet somebody who knew as much as me about what I do - in fact, even if I meet another statistician, there is almost surely no chance they know everything I know. I am always the expert, at what I do. And then I have to try really hard to get any idea of what everybody else is doing.
