The article does not explain how sharing the voice between devices work, whether it uses iCloud or could the voice be exported directly?
- CharlesW 3y agoIt uses iCloud. From https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213878 https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213878: “You can sync your Personal Voice to other devices that are signed in to iCloud with your Apple ID.”
- java-man 3y agoThank you. While it's good for marketing (come use our cloud!), this makes no sense frome the user perspective - what if one wants to ue someone else's voice?
- microtherion 3y agoThat opens a can of worms regarding impersonation.
- m463 3y agoYou're right. I can't think of any reason to use my own voice. Maaaaaybe if I was sick or about to get a throat operation. I'm curious what reasonable uses there are.
