Ask HN: What is the best personal dashboard tool?
I really want a personal dashboard I can look at every day to track everything important to me.
- Health (steps, calories burned, sleep, etc.)
- Financial data (bank account balance, net worth, etc.)
- Business (conversion rate, page views, etc.)
- Misc (habit tracking)
Ideally, something that is low code were I don't spend 100 hours writing custom code for. Any ideas?
- hnisoss 3y agoI use jupyter notebooks, - fetching APIs & processing files - calculations and plotting paired with cronjob to generate html pages for your viewing pleasure. - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34818723/ https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34818723/ Put caddy server with basicauth directive in front to get HTTPS and password protection. Then to minimize the code I write I just interface with different premade software - ie beancount for accounting, fava for dashboards etc.
- Leftium 3y agoI'm not aware of any single dashboard that will cover all your categories. Each category will probably be served better by a specialized dashboard. For financial data I use Sofi Relay Insights: - https://www.sofi.com/financial-insights/ https://www.sofi.com/financial-insights/ - (I used to use:) https://www.empower.com/empower-personal-wealth-transition https://www.empower.com/empower-personal-wealth-transition I just found Polar Habits for habits: - https://hw.leftium.com/#/item/37596483 https://hw.leftium.com/#/item/37596483 Apple Health seems to be a decent health dashboard.
