Show HN: Amber – A Terminal Theme Inspired by Amber Phosphors Monitors
Amber-theme is a theme for Microsoft's Windows Terminal Application that is inspired by Monochrome Hercules Phosphor-based Amber Monitors.
Shoutout to all the stories of programming before my time, to my mentors who told me stories of writing legendary code on beautiful Hercules monitors.
- mPReDiToR 3y agoThis puts me in mind of Cool Retro Term. Lots of built in schemes. https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term Usually packaged by your distro.
- SuperHeavy256 3y agoGuess what? The main reason I made this theme was because I couldn't get Cool Retro Term working on my PC! I wanted to run it through WSL, but because of some Windows issue, my PC couldn't support WSLg. So I made this theme as a substitute. A few months later I got WSLg working on my PC, but I realised I prefer my theme over Cool Retro Term :) I guess necessity is the mother of invention.
