Ask HN: What tools to use when creating an AI voice?
I am interesting in learning a bit about this AI engine stuff and I would like to set up my own instance of a voice ai creator.
I am a seasoned software engineer but I have no clue where to start (sure I could Google it but I want your answers instead).

- PaulHoule 3y agoWhat are your goals for this voice? Speaking, Singing? There are a lot of voices that are already packaged and ready to go such as Amazon Polly, why do you find these deficient? Have you tested any?
- danielovichdk 3y agoSimply to see how easy it really is to have my own or the kids voice do some funny things. Speaking. I would like to feedback some kind engine with mp3 files (voice audio) and train it to speak in that voice. I was hoping i could set it up on my own machine and not rely on a cloud provider. I have only tried the I OpenAI speak to text api, and that was easy setting up locally. Thanks
