  Not sure how you so quickly dismiss there was no infringement. This ultimately will be decided by courts interpretation of copyright law. I can buy a book, read, sell to another person, I can't make a movie or a comic based on the book without either permission of the author or royalties payments. An author might be concerned that their nuanced arguments or intricate plots will be oversimplified or misunderstood in the AI's representation. Or an author may not want their work to be associated with an AI's interpretation, especially if it might lead to misinterpretation or oversimplification
