Pentagon’s Budget Is So Bloated That It Needs an AI Program to Navigate It
- PaulHoule 3y agoAbout 10 years ago they had a failed project to do the same with technology that lets you do OWL inference and SPARQL queries (old A.I.) against data in relational databases. (imagine the 1970s symbolic A.I. but rigorously defined and scalable.). I went to a conference on semantic technology at Gallaudet University where there was a sub-conference you needed a security clearance to get into where they were talking about it. What I understood was that congress was asking “where does all the money go?” but there is a systemantic reason why they don’t know is that the Pentagon doesn’t want them to know because “black programs” are hidden in what looks like waste and corruption in other military programs.
