I have a 2021 Skoda Scala that does this, it’s incredibly annoying. It tells me there is a software update, but in the same message says that it can’t do it while driving…
- version_five 3y agoI rented a skoda this year and I own a VW. They share the same "infotainment" system and it's shit. I otherwise like volkswagen but I can't recommend them based on their awful computer. I joke that it must have been designed by someone who had never been in a car and didn't know what it was for, and by that standard I guess it's decent.
- physicsguy 3y agoWe had a good one recently; it told us to go to the dealership for immediate service, the horn, cruise control and SatNav stopped working. The dealership said that it was a software update needed?!
- wredue 3y agoMy 2017 silverado pops up a message telling me to keep my eyes on the road while driving cause it’s dangerous to take your eyes off the road for a long time while the truck is moving.
- teekert 3y ago:D My parents owned a Renault that would tell you at every single start to obey the traffic regulations. I wish I could slap that car and it would feel it.
- hef19898 3y agoThat would be a good use of AI. I'm just affraid that this would directly need to Skynet or something if we slapnoir smart devices too often.
