It’s gotten to a point for me that I just assume any and all videos like this are fake.
- ClassyJacket 3y agoWhy? There are plenty of videos from different people showing off autopilot and FSD, and the specific case in this video - detect other cars, estimate trajectory, do not go if you would collide - is actually rather trivial.
- dkrich 3y agoIt’s not that I don’t believe that his car couldn’t detect an oncoming car- my four year old Honda does that easily on a regular basis. I simply don’t believe that videos like this aren’t staged anymore to push a particular story by people who are Tesla enthusiasts/cultists. There have just been one too many questionable videos trying to promote FSD as far better than I know it is on Twitter. Apart from the desire to promote Tesla it has the added benefit of getting instant engagement because it presents a potentially dangerous situation on video.
- openopenopen 3y agoIf a company has a history of not delivering on their promises, it is fair to be very sceptical. The original Tesla FSD promotion was staged. https://www.reuters.com/technology/tesla-video-promoting-self-driving-was-staged-engineer-testifies-2023-01-17/ https://www.reuters.com/technology/tesla-video-promoting-sel...
