So in 20 years a tenth of the population will disappear?
- hotnfresh 3y ago1) I’d expect more than 10% of currently-living Japanese citizens will be dead in 20 years. 2) But the total population probably won’t drop that much in 20 years, because the birth rate, though low, is rather above zero.
- ipnon 3y agoLife expectancy is an about 84 years, death rate is about twice the birth rate, so population will decrease by 6 million in about 5 years. Population will go from 124M to ~118M by 2028 based on my elementary analysis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Japan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Japan
