I left my job 6 months ago. Can I re-enter Canada? I have a w-1 visa
In 2022, I received a 2-year w-1 (TRV) visa with a business invitation. After working in Canada for 6 months, I left and returned to my country. I need to re-enter Canada. My W-1 Visa is valid until 2024. Can I re-enter Canada?
- tor10 3y agoYes, you can. As long as you have a valid visa with TRV stamp on the passport and original Permit with expiry more than 3 months away, you do not need any reason to enter in Canada. check here https://ircc.canada.ca/english/visit/visas.asp https://ircc.canada.ca/english/visit/visas.asp VISA = Stamp on passport for entry Permit = Permit to work, study, do business etc P.S. You cannot have VISA without Permit, VISA expiry does not matter if Permit expiry is less than associated VISA, so in your case, check both expiry.
- bycodar 3y agoThank you so much for your help. But my work permit is not an open work permit. I can only work in a certain workplace, but I worked for 6 months, left that workplace and returned to my country. Now I have a visa again but I have no job. Will I experience any problems when entering the country?
- tor10 3y agoIn a certain workplace is different than a specific company/firm. If your employer's name or company name is written on your work permit, then you should consult with an expert immigration lawyer before planning to visit Canada.
