In Notepad++ you can mark "Match whole word only" or use a regular expression with word boundaries, e.g.
\bsome string\b
- hiAndrewQuinn 3y agoTrue and helpful, but perhaps not as universalizable as past me would have wished. I think IntelliJ or JetBrains or one of those big honking IDEs has support for proper intelligent refactoring of variable names like this.
