Is there a better story for authenticating this than manually generating and storing a long-lived API key in my mutt configuration?
- lxgr 3y agoGmail supports OAuth 2 for IMAP and SMTP: https://developers.google.com/gmail/imap/xoauth2-protocol https://developers.google.com/gmail/imap/xoauth2-protocol No idea how feasible it is to integrate that with mutt in a client-only integration or if you need a backend for this, though.
- ravetcofx 3y agoIt's easier and more reliable to make an App password from my experience
