- solardev 3y agoLol really? I don't think I'd ever seen a video of that sort recommended to me. (Knock on wood) Is it possible someone in your household is playing a prank on you?

- jjoonathan 3y agoNope, I'm the only one on the account. I'm pretty sure it's the same stupid dynamic from the "chum box" days (the box of ads at the bottom of articles), just dressed up for youtube. People have a curiosity about the gross and grotesque. Which is fine, so long as the thumbnails/ads don't get grotesque enough to make engagement nonconsensual, but that's exactly what is happening.
- taberiand 3y agoThe algorithm probably sees you as an excellent content filter signal for videos it's uncertain about.
- brokenmachine 3y agoHoles? Like, literally, holes?
- jjoonathan 3y agoTrypophobia stuff -- regular patterns of holes the sight of which triggers a strong anti-parasitic instinct in most people.
