Textbook publishers sue LibGen for copyright infringement
- dublinben 3y agoI definitely learned about some new LibGen mirrors today! It's a shame that their bogus jurisdiction argument against admittedly foreign defendants and (but for three) foreign domain names will likely be accepted unquestioningly by the court. They're probably counting on a default judgement, since anonymous defendants rarely show up to defend themselves. As always, the long arm of US copyright law knows no bounds.
- gorenb 3y agoIs this real? As someone who frequently uses Library Genesis, I must say that this is genuinely not okay.
