In the past I’ve tried running a small USB drive in rented bare metal w/ diskless alpine, but the machine seemed to reboot randomly IIRC.
- blueflow 3y agoI did for a while on a raspberry pi. It was my home server for some months but i ended up not using it.
- mattclarkdotnet 3y agoAlpine is awesome, but as the article says it is terribly badly documented. On my todo list is contributing some better RPi install docs, and a more sensible A/B boot partition process.
- dman 3y agoI am using this for my home lab. Extremely useful.
