- simonblack 3y agoOnce upon a time we used the ocean for dumping stuff, thinking that it was limitless. Oops, now it's already getting full and reaching limits that we never thought would happen, and we need to clean it up. Today it's 'Let's pump our CO2 underground'. How much CO2 do we realistically expect to dispose of? And at what cost? And what happens when it escapes? That's just 'Magical thinking.' Annually the world produces billions of tons of CO2. Farting about with maybe a few thousand tons is a waste of time and money when it will have negligible change in the CO2 stuation.
