I go to Oxbridge but the research doesn't look like the best if I'm trying to publish some conference papers. I'll give it a try anyway, but the research in the US just looks much better.
- DamonHD 3y agoThere is a bunch of interesting ML stuff going on at Surrey, where I'm doing part-time PhD research now (not in ML, but thinking about it often, as it happens). Eg https://www.surrey.ac.uk/centre-vision-speech-signal-processing https://www.surrey.ac.uk/centre-vision-speech-signal-process... But I understand that it's not "not UK" that motivates the "US" question!
