Adverse Events Following the BNT162b2 mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine
- ethanbond 3y agoInteresting study. I wonder why they compared only to background incidence (2014 - 2019) and not also to contemporaneous unvaccinated people (as a separate arm)? Here they draw the conclusion that the vaccine does increase risk of myo/peri-carditis for a specific age group but that it’s lower than the risk of that same AE triggered by COVID infection. But it seems like they’d have the data to just as easily directly compare the vaccinated group to the contemporaneous unvaccinated group and get really good info from that?
- freedude 3y agoThose questions are asked and answered. You just have to know where to look because of government censorship and media blackouts. "According to pediatric cardiologist Dr. Kirk Milhoan, myocarditis caused by the COVID-19 vaccine differs from viral myocarditis because an infection of the heart isn't causing the damage. It's being damaged by the "spike protein that's cardiotoxic to the heart," which causes inflammation in the three main vessels of the heart by a different process." "There’s a difference between the body encountering a virus naturally that causes myocarditis and actively giving the body something we know causes harm," Dr. Milhoan https://www.zerohedge.com/political/statistically-significant-increase-myopericarditis-and-single-organ-cutaneous-vasculitis https://www.zerohedge.com/political/statistically-significan...
- ethanbond 3y agoMy question is literally not answered by that article. Are you replying to the right comment?
- Kerb_ 3y agoYours was the only comment they could have replied to, I think they were just excited to engage their own confirmation bias by pretending it answers questions. Look at the author on their website. "Tyler Durden". I don't think the Fight Club main character is an authority on this topic. And I'm gonna break HN etiquette a little to say anyone roleplaying Tyler or citing someone roleplaying Tyler isn't worth listening to either.
