Ask HN: Is YouTube not loading with ad blockers enabled?
Just noticed this, I disabled my ad blocker, and it was working again.
Anyone else experiencing this?
- t312227 3y agohello, idk, but i would like to state the opposite: youtube is nearly unusable w/o an ad-blocker ... ;) ad your question: no, for me it works - i'm using firefox lts & ublock origin just my 0.02€
- fragmede 3y agoI know we're a bunch of freeloaders, but YouTube premium is right there.
- stephenr 3y agoI feel like if you're going to pay for a sub you'd be better off paying for one of the non-Google video sites, to get actual ad-free content, rather than just "Google-ad free" and still sit through the "sponsored" part. As for the original question, I haven't had any issues with Vinegar (technically it's not an ad blocker, it converts YouTube's video player back into a native html5 video player, which has the side effect of removing all Google ads)
