I quite liked Janice G. Smith's text. OChem is definitely one of the more esoteric courses out there, but she synthesized everything in an incredibly logical, sensible progression. Organic chemistry is like a spatial algebra. It's so weird, but it makes a lot of sense when you really begin to grok it.
