I initially wanted to like this, but the website made me feel really creepy (I'm not dating though, so I'm not your target audience).
You say "swipe profiles of the opposite gender", why would gender matter to an AI?
As in, why wouldn't you just say "what type of person are you interested in", and have all the options. Again, the AI doesn't care what your interest is, it just needs to have some idea of how to behave.
Ok, so I kinda tried it, and now I see, you don't "require" opposite sex, you just say "what are you interested in. I'd think Bi people wouldn't want to have to choose, so maybe an "both" or "either" option would work (? - ask a Bi person, don't go on my recommendation).
So now I'm getting a tinder like experience, and I swiped right. But I have to keep swiping?
Why? It's an AI, it isn't going to "choose" me, so why make me go though the pain of waiting to find out if she is going to talk to me?
The "generate opening lines" is a title I don't like, and then you want me to past something from somebody elses bio? How did I get to someone's bio? Was I supposed to know to copy that at some point?
Anyway, I'm not a target user, but I think you need a bunch of work on UX/UI, and really figure out what problem you're trying to solve, and if this is even the right way to solve it.
- akaushik759 3y agoHi pedalpete, thanks for trying out. Just for v1 sake we tried to focus on straight people and make it right for them first before trying to build it for everyone, hence the "opposite gender" phrase. You have to keep swiping because we wanted to make an exact simulation + to add the thrill of it, if we just directly match you with someone it kinda becomes monotonous, so a gamified experience. Generating opening lines for your matches on dating apps, so you have to copy their bio and paste it
