I can't determine if your /s indicates you're joking about this specifically, but Apple Health/HealthKit has been around since 2014, whereas Google's Health Connect (the subject of this API) was introduced late 2022 and is still in beta.

It seems Google Fit was a precursor to Health Connect and has been out since 2014 as well.
