SexualActivityRecord
- smoldesu 3y agosigh Here's the other one so we don't descend into brouhaha: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/healthkit/hkcategorytypeidentifier/1615769-sexualactivity https://developer.apple.com/documentation/healthkit/hkcatego...
- DiabloD3 3y agoBut doesn't admitting Apple cloned a Google product just increase the ambient field strength of the brouhaha? /s

- dansalvato 3y agoI can't determine if your /s indicates you're joking about this specifically, but Apple Health/HealthKit has been around since 2014, whereas Google's Health Connect (the subject of this API) was introduced late 2022 and is still in beta.
- wkat4242 3y agoWTF (pun not intended) this is a joke?? Who wants to send their sexual activity to Google? I mean I would hope this is even self declared and not some AI interpreting accelerometer and audio data or something.
- solardev 3y agoDepends. How many steps would it add to my daily total?
- mattrighetti 3y ago> Who wants to send their sexual activity to Google Who wants to send anything to Google?
- _lvbh 3y agoPerhaps it’s for CarPlay integration? iirc cars record this data nowadays
- wkat4242 3y agoUmm what?? Cars record sexual activities? What the actual fuck. I'm glad I don't own a car. But what I do in it is my business.

- _lvbh 3y ago> Nissan earned its second-to-last spot for collecting some of the creepiest categories of data we have ever seen. It’s worth reading the review in full, but you should know it includes your “sexual activity.” Not to be out done, Kia also mentions they can collect information about your “sex life” in their privacy policy. Oh, and six car companies say they can collect your “genetic information” or “genetic characteristics.” Yes, reading car privacy policies is a scary endeavor - Mozilla Foundation
- tanseydavid 3y agoWhat? No boolean flag for Partner vs. No-Partner? I am feeling very left out -- again. <s>
- wkat4242 3y agoBoolean? I'd need an unsigned integer.
- dansalvato 3y agoCoding in C, eh? Replacing false with 0 should do the trick.
- worksonmine 3y agoI think the parent has a need to represent multiple partners.
- wkat4242 3y agoExactly. Not every sex act is conducted with 0 or 1 partners >:) Though I'm not a parent, I use protection! :)
- dansalvato 3y agoThanks for the chuckle. Google Health privacy overview page: https://health.google/privacy/ https://health.google/privacy/ Apple HealthKit privacy overview page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209519 https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209519 Notably, Apple mentions that your health data is end-to-end encrypted as long as you have 2FA enabled on your iCloud account. I don't see any mention of Google offering the same, which is pretty surprising for something as sensitive as health data. If anyone has looked into this more deeply and is more familiar with the privacy risks of recording this kind of data on either OS, I'd love to learn more.

- thdespou 3y agoDoes it count as a workout?
