The Physics of Saltwater Taffy
- jfengel 3y agoThey really should just say "taffy". It's only "saltwater taffy" if they're selling it on a boardwalk next to the ocean. There's no salt-water in saltwater taffy. It just has the name because they sell it to tourists in Ocean City. Yeah, that's just language pedantry. But the physics of it is all about the chemistry, not the marketing. Taffy is physically the same wherever you make it.
