> How mobile apps illegally share your personal data
There are many different methods you can use to share a file, including but not limited to Dropbox and floppy drives. Your data is a file, or maybe it's an SQL table! Sharing a file can be done by anyone, but be careful though, as sharing an SQL table needs to be done trained professionals. DO NOT ATTEMPT SHARING AN SQL TABLE WITHOUT PROPER SUPERVISION.
Seriously, what's the news/content here? Is mobile apps not complying with EU regulations noteworthy in any way?
- whatatita 3y agoIt's not about the format of the data, but the content. Personal Information (PI) can only be shared with consent, and only for clearly specified purposes. That's the Bad Thing they're reporting on, albeit somewhat poorly. And there's strong(er) privacy laws is California USA, the EU, Switzerland, and the UK. That's just off the top of my head. So not just EU law being broken here.
