Sure, Microsoft technically has the right to censor whatever they like, just like pg technically has the right to ban you from Hacker News for writing a comment he doesn't like.
Both are disturbing examples of legally infringing on free speech.
Stop being so pedantic about language.
- alextgordon 15y agoPeople on HN get banned all the time for posting a comment that a mod doesn't like. Browse with showdead on for a bit. Though at least Microsoft has the courtesy to tell people when something is banned.
- javert 15y agoI'm not being pedantic about language; the distinction you are trying to wish away is utterly vital to maintaining free speech. People who attack free speech, as you are, don't deserve it.
