Not a fan of JetBrains names. RustRover is too easy to misspell to RustLover. Which is too close to LustLover!
But anyway, I'm kind of lost with this news, because I'm using paid CLion for both C++ and Rust, and it seems now I will need to buy another IDE (because they will probably discontinue the free rust plugin).

- tirpen 3y agoThey didn't discontinue their Go plugin when they released GoLang, their Python plugin when they released PyCharm nor their Ruby plugin when they released RubyMine.
- cloudquelle 3y agoWhich is weird from an economic standpoint, because if you're using IDEA, I’m guessing that for the majority of users there just aren't enough advantages of getting either PyCharm, WebStorm or GoLand in addition to it.
- self_awareness 3y agoActually this time they've written in the initial announcement that the open-source Rust plugin will be discontinued.
