What do people expect? We aren't gonna get an iPhone 1 \ iPhone 4 \ iPhone X leap every year. There just isn't that much you can do, no matter how good your designers or engineers are. We've reached a natural plateau. I'm not saying there's no room for improvement, certainly we're seeing some great leaps on the software and chipset side with AI and stuff, but the hardware has to stabilize a bit eventually. Arguably that's a good thing. Nobody is forcing you to upgrade and not having to saves you a thousand bucks a year. I'm against changing stuff for the sake of changing it. That's how you end up with 'one step forward, two steps back' kind of changes. I'd rather them make sensible, steady improvements than make stuff different just for the sake of looking fresh.
