Why are you claiming we should expect so many lay offs at Google ?

  Because not only I can, whoever trusts a company such as Google to not continue layoffs even when they announced positive results is waiting to be very disappointed. They can easily cut another 5,000 or 7,000 employees globally and it would not be an issue to them nor would it be a surprise at all.
