Well, godot does 3D as well as 2D and has a fully-fledged GUI editor, so I don't get the comparison and in what regards Love is "better".

- sim7c00 3y agoFor games which do not require a level editor i'd agree love is better. but this is only a small subset of games perhaps. other cases, an editor is definitely useful. making an editor yourself is really, really tedious.
- jay_kyburz 3y agoI spent a few months working on Godot and it was clear that the developers don't actually make games, and don't have the same priorities as me. I want a real solid foundation to build on. Nobody likes to put down such a great looking open source project, but I decided it was not for me.
- TheRoque 3y agoI am curious what issues you ran into. Also, there are about 50 games per year released with Godot on steam, so there are definitely people pulling it off

- TheRoque 3y agoThanks for the details. Well it sucks when there's a bug that deep for sure. Maybe it got solved in the 4.0 ? And with more and more people adopting it, I assume the regressions will be less frequent.
