I was under the impression that money transmitters do not accepts deposits as such, but can provide other stored value services (but not a lawyer). So for me the whole premise of the discussion feels somewhat flawed.
- withinboredom 3y agoIt largely depends on the state the user is in. In some states, it's basically a joke, and in others, you cannot touch the money or even accept interest on the money. It's a hodgepodge of shit. Basically. Source: I tried to figure out how to get a license in a bunch of states for a side-project and quickly realized I wasn't rich enough to do so.
