New York City and Oregon pension funds sue Fox
- ageek123 3y agoSo these pension funds were fine with investing in Fox year after year despite all the other crap Fox News had been spewing, but somehow now they want to sue?
- Nasrudith 3y agoThe previous crap didn't lead to a defamation lawsuit. You can't sue for something ill-defined legally as "a complete lack of morals" but you can for recklessly creating liability in a defamation lawsuit.
- bern4444 3y agoSo the pension funds are suing Fox because Fox got sued and lost the case which was bad for investors - Fox had to pay out a ton of money negatively impacting investment returns. I don't think this is going anywhere - Caveat Emptor. This lawsuit should be thrown out. As Matt Levine often says: everything is securities fraud[0].
