Well this SCOTUS case pretty much legalizes this : Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition https://www.oyez.org/cases/2001/00-795 https://www.oyez.org/cases/2001/00-795 It's not real children. It's at best hyper-realistic computer-aided animation. It could be fairly compared to realistic hentai. As gross as it may be, there's nobody being harmed. So even calling CSAM is a load of bullshit. There's no "C" (children) and no "A" (assault). And if they stay away from real children, cool.

  The UK has no such safeguards, CASM poorly drawn with a pencil still counts as CASM.

    That depended on actual abuse happening. I find it all terrible and fked but I see the distinction. A real human is still suffering if that is being distributed.

The Christian church has been using religion to predate on kids, they are still around, no real justice has been done, but we are worried about AI?
