- sim7c00 3y agoFrom the description on the consumer service's site: ------ Google schendt elke dag jouw online privacy en volgt stiekem je fysieke locatie. Google verzamelt, analyseert en deelt gegevens over jou met anderen en verdient daar miljarden aan. Zonder dat je daar iets tegen kunt doen. Dit is een inbreuk op jouw privacy. ------ This translates to: ------ Google violates your privacy daily, and follows your physical location _secretly_ . Google collects, analyses and _shares_ data about you with others and earns billions from it. Without you being able to do anything about it. This is a breach of your privacy. ------ I think keys here are 'secretly', 'shares' and the fact you cannot stop it. (disabling location etc. does nothing to stop it.) The article on Reuters words it like this: ------ AMSTERDAM, Sept 12 (Reuters) - The Dutch consumers' association Consumentenbond together with the Privacy Protection Foundation issued legal proceedings against Google on Tuesday for alleged large-scale privacy violations, they said in a statement. Both groups demanded that Google, part of Alphabet Inc (GOOGL.O), stops "its constant surveillance and sharing of personal data through online advertising auctions" ---------- I don't know where you got this thing about ad-targeting? ad-targeting is a result of these trades. its not the target of this suit.
