- jqpabc123 3y agoGoogle has their hands in Firefox too.
- sysadm1n 3y agoOnly because they're the default search engine in FF. They don't have a hand in other parts of FF's codebase.
- jqpabc123 3y agoBeing the source of the overwhelming majority of Mozilla's revenue gives them the control they want without touching the code base. How else do you explain the fact that Google payments to Mozilla over the last decade have done nothing but increase as Firefox's worldwide user share has done nothing but decline --- now to the point of insignificance; less than Opera?
- stop50 3y agoNot as much as on chromium. With firefox, they only have their hands on mozilla, with the money for the default search machine, with chromium they have literally everything in their hands.
